Seahawks vs Packers This weekend, real professional football finally returns as the NFL begins the 2017 season. Arguably the best matchup on this Sunday’s slate of games involves the Green Bay Packers, as they square off with a team that has become quite the rival perhaps the Packers’ biggest rival outside of the NFC North.
Green Bay and Seattle are now perennial playoff teams and Super Bowl contenders, and the two teams share plenty of similarities and bonds. One common factor is in the front office, as Seahawks GM John Schneider worked for the Packers for several years before taking over in Seattle. There is also running back Eddie Lacy, who spent four years in Green Bay before signing with the Seahawks this fall.

The Packers opened as 3-point favourites (-115) on the Sports Interaction NFL odds board. Green Bay looks to build off its spectacular second half to last season when the team won eight games in a row before falling to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship Game.
The Packers went 5-1 against the spread in their final six games last season and are 8-1-1 against the number in their last 10 home openers. The Seahawks went 3-4-1 straight up on the road last season and are 0-4 in their last four away games. Seattle was an underdog just five times over the last three regular seasons and the club went 3-1-1 in those contests.
